Installations

Your installation begins with your furniture being carefully loaded onto our van and transported to your home on the first day of installation. Before any work starts, we protect all floors and stairs using roll-and-stroll protective covering. Where wooden flooring is present, we also lay interlocking foam pads for additional protection.

We strongly recommend removing carpets and furniture from the room before installation. This allows us to work safely and ensures the furniture is fitted directly to a solid floor. Installing onto carpet can cause movement over time, which may affect door alignment and lead to cracks in top infill seals. Carpets can be lifted and refitted by yourself or someone you know. If required, we can arrange this using professional carpet installers.

Once the room is prepared, the furniture is brought in and positioned in the correct order. Work benches and tools are set up, and installation begins. A standard bedroom installation typically takes two to three days, depending on the size of the room and the furniture involved.

Rooms with sloping ceilings may take slightly longer. In these cases, the main carcasses are installed first. The angled doors are then templated and manufactured to match the slope of your ceiling before being fitted on delivery. During this time, the wardrobes remain fully usable, as we only need access to the front to clip the doors into place.

We use dust extraction equipment to keep dust to a minimum and always aim to reduce noise where possible. However, as this is installation work, some noise and light dust should be expected.

At the end of each day, the room is left clean, tidy, and safe. We recommend arranging to sleep in a different room during installation. This avoids the need to remove tools each evening and helps us complete the work more efficiently.

Once installation is complete, all furniture is vacuumed internally and externally. We then apply a caulk seal around the fitted furniture, allowing decorating work to be completed neatly up to the furniture for a smooth, professional finish.

We can remove all packaging and waste from site for an additional charge. Alternatively, if you prefer to dispose of it yourself, we separate cardboard, plastic, and polystyrene into strong bags for easy disposal.

We can also remove and dispose of existing furniture, which is also chargeable.

We recommend leaving one day between completion and any decorating or carpet refitting, just in case any final adjustments are required.

Our aim is to ensure the entire process runs smoothly from planning through to completion. We are registered with BIFIS (British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists), registration number N287457.
